Hello! Thank you so much for purchasing this pattern! Spooky Season is upon us, which means it is the perfect time to make this super cute scarf with a repeating bat pattern!
This pattern involves hdc stitches and uses tapestry crochet techniques, such as carrying yarn as you crochet, and switching color yarns throughout the pattern to create the bat motif, so this is the perfect pattern for someone with an intermediate to advanced level. This pattern includes detailed instructions on how to switch the colors when necessary, as well as a nice pattern chart that shows you exactly when to switch colors per row and that can be used to make other projects like a bag, a blanket, or even a sweater! While you can choose any two colors you want, I recommend using contrasting colors (e.g., 1 light and 1 dark color) in order for the bat motif to show up clearly.
I really hope you have fun crafting this scarf, and that you enjoy the pattern! If you post your projects based on the pattern on Instagram, feel free to tag me on the post (@rollingyarncrochet), I'd love to see what people make! :)
