This is a single PDF file of the pattern for the Watermelon Slice Turtle. The pattern can be accommodated to any yarn and hook combination. The pattern includes written instructions as well as images. If you follow the pattern you will only need to sew the head onto the body. The PDF is attached in the 'Notes and Tips' section.

There is also a document with the links to 3 videos that accompany the pattern. The videos show how to make the legs, how to attach the legs while working (to avoid sewing at the end), and how to do the embroidery. The PDF with links is attached in the 'Notes and Tips' section.

Skill level: intermediate beginner

Necessary skills: chaining, single crochet, slip stitch, increasing, decreasing, working in back loops, magic ring, sewing pieces together, embroidery, changing colors

Materials: 1 skein of yarn each for 3 colors (as stated, this can be used as a stash buster since not much yarn is needed!), crochet hook, scissors, darning needle, polyfil or other filler material, safety eyes (although you may choose to embroider the eyes)
