This is an easy pattern that can look more advanced than it is with its ruffle around its shell and head that bends up form under from under the shell. But it only uses basic stitches! The pattern has some images for guidance in the crocheting part and a step-by-step picture guided approach for the more complicated part of the assembly.

With her big, hard shell, Tortelina is perfectly suited to be a pincushion, because she will not feel any pain through her thick protection.

I have used a cotton yarn (125 m by 50 g) for the green/purple turtle and acrylic yarn (130 m by 50 g) for the brown/blue turtle. If you use another yarn, make sure to change crochet hook accordingly.
