Description
Who wouldn't want a delicious looking cake, with pink & lemon frosting and hearts all over made from crochet?!

I listed this as a beginner pattern but I would say advanced beginner. It does involve bobble stitch and crocheting on front and back loops, joining new colours etc. Unfortunately there is some sewing of the hearts on, and reinforcing the flame but the rest of the pattern is no sew.

The background to this pattern was a fun challenge where you had to spin the wheel for three random colours and make a pattern of only those colours. My colours were yellow, red and pink. You were not allowed to add any colours (otherwise it probably would have been strawberries rather than hearts).

I made my cake from plushie yarns but i know from experience than if I made this same cake in cotton or acrylic it would be much flatter on the top of the clake so take that into consideration when choosing your yarn that you won't get that plushie curve to it. You can use any yarn and hook size but bear in mind that I've used a straw inside to ballast the candle so if you go up or down in size you might need an alternative method.

Feel free to sell your makes but please don't edit my pattern to pass off as your own.
