This pattern is best for intermediate crocheters who are comfortable switching colours using tapestry and/or intarsia crochet.

I'd recommend using cotton or acrylic yarn for this project, because these materials are known to block well and stay flat when in use. I used DROPS Paris, but any 100% cotton or acrylic yarn should work.
