I'm a complete beginner and this is my first plushie. I know I used a different kind of yarn but this helped me see my stitches better. Easy to follow until the end and there's no instructions on how to sew it up on the back but I was able to figure it out with a little trial and error. Overall I'm happy and I'll use it again with a fluffy yarn.

This isn't a very good pattern. Very much not beginners friendly. It doesn't tell you what to do with the opening so I pretty much have a chicken bucket.

I didn't get to take a picture close up before my hubby ran away with the chicken and put it on his TV unit.. But it was a breeze to crochet for an absolute beginner and wow does it look good! (Even though I messed up the comb) I only had white yarn but I'll now buy all the colours and make a chicken army! Thank you so much for this pattern!!
