I would recommend one of 3 changes to this pattern. A) marking it as intermediate. B) recommending beginner single strand yarn. Or C) changing the (4) lines to (6) lines, reading (sc, inc) x2 and (sc, dec) x2.

Here's my finished balloon dog! It was a little challenging working with #2 yarn and a 2mm hook but I finally finished! It was a lot faster than the last balloon dog I made with hundreds of stitches. I had to add some supportive stitches in it to make it stand up better but overall, a great pattern!
