Ascent (n.):

A climb or walk to the summit of a mountain or hill
An upward slope or path
A rise to an important position or higher level
As I look at those three definitions, I’m struck by the fact that an ascent can be both a steep path or climb, but also a “leveling up."

This year has been a climb for many of us – steeper for some than others – and my hope is that you keep climbing. Keep working, keep pushing, keep climbing to reach your goals!

This sock begins at the toe and the traveling cable ascends the foot much in the same way we make progress: Zig zagging, but steadily climbing

There are ladders on the sides to remind you there is often more than one way to reach your goals.

At the top, at the end of your journey, is a crown: A beautiful folded picot bind off

-----
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."
(Philippians 3:13-14 )
