Latest noteProgressDateFeb 06, 2024ProjectCable mittsMood💜These were really beautiful but I do want to say the yarn I used was a 3 weight (Big Twist Shine) and I started working them up with a 5.5mm hook and they were way too big. I do have small hands but I noticed another reviewer also left out stitches. I went down to a 4.5mm and I think I did 30 rows for the cuff and then one less hdc on each side of the cables (so 2 less stitches per row). I would work the pattern as written with the 4.5 or maybe even a 5mm and this yarn for someone with more average sized hands. But I'd recommend actually sizing down on hook further if you're having issues. They are so cute and we're relatively quick to make. Thanks so much to the designer because this is perhaps my favorite free pattern I've made in a very long time! Really good details so shouldn't be too hard for an experienced crocheter to follow. Just might want to size down on the hook size or fiddle around a bit with that.
