I used Loops &Threads Sweet snuggles lite (in baby green, weight 6) for the fins and head and Mainstays Cozy Chenille Supreme (in By the ocean colour, weight 6) for the shell! Both yarns using an 8mm hook! Definitely would give this pattern a try if your a beginner looking for a tough challenge! (I'm a beginner lol)
