I would say this took me about 3 hours to do and that's primarily because I don't work with plush yarn often. I used big twist worsted weight in red with the 4mm hook and yarn bee cozy occasion size 6 yarn with 5mm hook. I would recommend this pattern for beginners as long as they are comfortable with plush yarn and being able to identify the stitches in them.
